MS in data science (MSDS) student Desiderio Pilla recently received two awards from the University of Delaware’s Mechanical Engineering Department. The first is the W. Francis Lindell Mechanical Engineering Award to the Distinguished Scholar for his scholarship and creativity in engineering. This award was accompanied by a $1,000 check. The departmental faculty selected Desi for this award.
The second award received by Desi is the Undergraduate Teaching Assistant Award. This award is in recognition of his contributions as a student-teacher. A $500 check accompanied this award.
The MSDS program is very proud of Desiderio Pilla, and his contributions to the University of Delaware community. He is currently working in a virtual summer internship. He plans to work with Dr Ben Bagozzi on a research project this fall semester, and to graduate from the program in December.
